PR and digital communication support for an internationally recognised, Leicestershire-based hair salon group.
Barrie Stephen Hair is an impressive hair salon group with four salons across Leicestershire. The salons have been a fixture on Leicestershire’s high streets for nearly 30 years but are recognised internationally for their meticulously trained and experienced stylists.
They enlisted us for support with their PR and digital communications, with a primary focus on promoting brand awareness and increasing footfall in their flagship salon situated on King Street in Leicester.
As our work for Barrie Stephen began in late August, our first port of call was to create a social media strategy that primarily targeted two groups of people:
- Students
- Parents of children about to return to school
We ran a promotional campaign across social media encouraging students to visit the King Street salon and receive 20% off their next hair appointment. We created a flyer featuring the same discount, which we circulated across all Leicestershire-based universities. During the first two months of the promotion running, 43 students visited the salon in comparison to 0 students during the same timeframe in the previous year.
We created a campaign called Time for You, encouraging parents to take some time for themselves now the little ones had returned to school.
These initial campaigns were supported by ongoing PR and digital communications strategies targeted at increasing brand awareness of the salon group as a whole, with an emphasis on King Street.
